Everett “Echo” Smith

Writing to his friend “Loomy,” Everett shares news of his family, his return to work, and his recovery, while remembering the men and experiences they shared in Vietnam.

According to the accompanying account, Everett was wounded on April 21, 1968, when track 2/7 struck a mine coming off Hill 68. Two fellow troopers were killed in the incident.
